ABOUT US

County Wexford Community Workshop (New Ross) was formed in 1975 with a view to providing services for people with disabilities in the catchment area of south east Kilkenny, South Carlow, East Waterford and South West Wexford. Its guiding philosophy is that people with a disability should have equal rights to dignity and choice, including equality of opportunity and full participation as equal members of society. 

An ongoing commitment exists to providing an environment where people with disabilities receive a quality service, tailored to the individual needs of each person, and which actively promotes the integration of people into their local communities. The organisation believes that a quality service must have objectives that are VALID:

Visionary

Striving to enhance and improve service provision, opportunities and personal outcomes
Accessible & Appropriate Ready access to services that are flexible, needed, wanted and chosen without unnecessary dependency on the organisation.
Laudable Commended for delivering effective results and efficient operation, contributing to the community and giving optimum value for money.
Identified Identifying and pursuing best practice to serve the needs of peole with a disability
Dignified Promote standards of courtesy, relationships, confidentiality and respect for the dignity of the individual
